Galantino Extra Virgin Olive Oil In Ceramic Jar (500ml)

This extra virgin olive oil comes from one of Italy’s oldest olive-growing regions, and doubles up as apiece of art for your kitchen. As each jar is lovingly decorated by hand, you will find every bottle is unique and has its own character. With its red wax seal and Galantino ribbon each bottle looks really smart & would also make a lovely gift.

The Galantino family has been producing oil for nearly 100 years. This oil is cold-pressed on traditional stone mills & has a medium-fruity flavour, with aromas of artichokes and green, herbaceous notes. It has warming peppery after-notes, and a lingering hint of almond.

Use the oil to dress crispy salad leaves, sun-ripened tomatoes or meltingly soft burrata. Or combine with a good balsamic for a classic Mediterranean vinaigrette.

Galantino is based in the town of Bisceglie, Apuglia – the region that produces more olives than any other in the world. The medieval town is steeped in history, perched on the Adriatic coast and surrounded by ancient olive groves. Galantino’s oil is renowned for its quality and consistency, and holds protected status (PDO). The family olive mill has been pressing oil since 1926, and is run today by the third generation. All their olives are carefully selected and washed before being crushed on traditional stone mills.
